SMK Negeri 4 Semarang
SMK Negeri 4 Semarang is one of the best vocational high schools in Semarang City. Established in 1952, it was originally named Pendidikan Guru Praktek Pengajaran Teknik (PGPPT) and underwent several name changes over time. The school is centrally located and shares its vicinity with four other schools.
Situated at Jalan Pandanaran II No. 7, Semarang, SMK Negeri 4 occupies nine buildings covering approximately 1,379 hectares. Despite having numerous buildings, the school lacks spacious outdoor areas. It currently has only a basketball court, a main field, and a small field.
Contrary to the negative perception often associated with vocational schools, SMK Negeri 4 Semarang fosters a positive and supportive environment. Discrimination is absent, and quality education is delivered effectively. Recently, the school declared itself a “child-friendly school”, demonstrating its commitment to combat bullying.
In terms of academic and non-academic achievements, SMK Negeri 4 Semarang excels. With nine study programs, the school produces highly skilled individuals who contribute significantly to both society and the workforce. Adequate facilities and competent educational staff enhance the learning experience for students.
